Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously was a part of the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a CNN political commentator from 2017 to 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat for the U.S. Senate. Psaki then served as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was appointed the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. [20] It was speculated that she was to replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21] However, Josh Earnest was announced to succeed Carney on May 30 in 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications. she remained there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
